B.A.B.Y. (Birthing Awareness Baby & You) Childbirth Education Class

In caring for our community NewBeginnings saw a need for the community to have a childbirth education class. Current clients in the Earn While You Learn program as well as individuals in the community can attend the B.A.B.Y. Childbirth Education Class. The class is conducted by highly trained delivery nurses and volunteers.

Agency Referrals

Many agencies, teachers, churches and families in the Johnson County area refer parents, single mothers and single fathers to NewBeginnings for pregnancy testing and parenting classes. Because the NewBeginnings offers a mentoring program where each client is helped on an individual basis and because we offer a curriculum starting with the time a young woman finds out she is pregnant with weekly lessons on the following: 

• Prenatal Care
• Childbirth
• Preparing for your Newborn
• The First Year of Life
• Working with Toddlers
• School-Age Children
• General Family Relationships
• Discipline, etc.

We are able to help parents with lessons in areas so that they are ready when the baby is born. And because NewBeginnings not charge for any of its services, the many organizations refer people to us on a weekly basis.
