Each day, women wake up in Johnson County believing abortion is the only realistic solution to an unplanned pregnancy. In this tragic decision, not only is a human life snuffed out, but a woman’s life is changed forever. At NewBeginnings we seek to love and support each woman who comes to us. We believe women deserve better than abortion. No woman should ever have to choose between her career and her baby, or her education and her baby. It is our desire to empower women to choose life.
Offering Hope
Free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, abortion information, parenting classes, and material assistance are just some of the many services offered that empower women to choose life. NewBeginnings is one of several thousand independently operated pregnancy centers across North America.
NewBeginnings Women's Center offers hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by providing practical help and emotional support. In the words of TIME magazine, pregnancy centers are the "kind, calm, nonjudgmental" face of the pro-life movement.
The ultimate aim of NewBeginnings is to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ in both word and deed. As a result, the hearts of women and men are being changed by Christ's love to desire positive and healthy choices. In addition, those struggling with past abortions are finding God's healing and forgiveness.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteer – Nurse/Sonographer: Our nurses provide counseling and education to women, men, and families who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. The nurses supervise staff and volunteers, oversee pregnancy testing and provide 1st Trimester Limited Ultrasound to establish viability and gestational age.
Volunteer – Peer Counselor: Our Peer Counselors provide counseling to women, men, and families who may be experiencing an unexpected/unwanted pregnancy. Volunteers listen to the client's circumstances and needs and offer information and resources that will help the client to make a life affirming decision for her and her baby.
